Emily Hays is a Senior Customer Experience Strategist at Verizon Connect where she is responsible for bringing human-centered innovation and experience design into telematics services. Emily has worked on a range of projects for Atlanta area businesses and nonprofits where she infuses collaboration, cultivates creativity, and seeks feasibility when thinking big about tough problems. Prior to graduate school, Emily worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she applied design-thinking methodologies throughout her work as a sustainability specialist and focused on reducing energy consumption in US national laboratories. Emily’s aim is to shape the future of digital interactions in such a way that enhances human connection and wellbeing, while simultaneously developing products and ecosystems that are delightful and functional.
Emily holds both an MBA with a concentration in innovation and technology, and a Masters of Industrial Design (MID) from Georgia Tech. She also holds a BS in Sustainability Science from Furman University.
