Niles Bolton established Niles Bolton Associates (NBA) in Georgia in 1975 and today he and his 22 partners direct a company ranked among the top 50 US architectural firms, a staff of over 130 and projects that span the country and the globe. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with an additional office in Alexandria, Virginia, NBA has completed projects in 49 states and 16 countries including mixed-use developments, multi-family housing, student housing, transportation, retail, universities, clubhouses, schools, military and resorts.
A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, Niles began his professional career upon returning from Vietnam, where he served as an officer with the Army Corp of Engineers. Niles served on the Georgia State Licensing Board of Architects and Interior Designers for ten years and is involved in numerous organizations including Past Chairman of the Buckhead Coalition, Past President of Cherokee Town and Country Club, Trustee of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, American Institute of Architects, World Presidents’ Organization (WPO), and Rotary Club of Atlanta. He has provided volunteer service and leadership to Georgia Tech through his involvement on multiple boards including the College of Architecture and College of Design, Dean’s Council and Advisory Boards, the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, the Campaign Georgia Tech and Transforming Tomorrow Campaign Steering Committees. Niles is an Emeritus Trustee of the Georgia Tech Foundation, member of The Hill Society, and has been awarded the Joseph Mayo Pettit Alumni Distinguished Service Award by the Alumni Association.
Niles has been recognized recently as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most Admired CEOs, one of Atlanta Magazine’s top 500 Most Powerful Leaders, and Georgia Trend’s Georgia 500: The State’s Most Influential Leaders.
