Ralph Raymond is a Haitian-born architect known for his ability to seamlessly integrate architectural design and construction technology into diverse projects. Having immigrated to the United States at the age of two, Raymond has built a career centered on innovative design and equity within the architectural profession. With expertise spanning various project phases from design to construction administration, he excels in aligning artistic vision with pragmatic execution. His dedication to client goals, paired with strong communication and a rigorous approach to design, ensures that his projects are executed to the highest standard.
Raymond’s journey in architecture is rooted in his early engagement with professional organizations. He began as a college sophomore, joining the Atlanta chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), which opened doors to his future leadership roles. His involvement with NOMA inspired him to serve on the board of AIA Georgia, where he now holds the position of president. Raymond's leadership is driven by a belief that the profession must include voices from all stages of career development to remain sustainable and innovative. As president, he is passionate about representing his generation, advocating for progress in real-time rather than waiting to reflect on past decisions.
In 2015, at just 26 years old, Raymond became Georgia’s youngest licensed architect, a testament to his ambition and commitment to the field. He started his career at HOK as a student intern while pursuing his degrees at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture. Recognized for his contributions to the profession, Raymond was awarded the John A. Busby Jr. Honor Award for Exceptional Young Architect by AIA Atlanta in 2019.
Throughout his career, Raymond has been involved in significant projects across Atlanta, including the modernization of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Porsche Cars North America Experience Center. His contributions, both in practice and through organizations like AIA, NOMA, and the ACE Mentor Program, reflect his deep commitment to advancing the profession and fostering a more inclusive architectural community.
